New & Lingwood have been making shirts, shoes and gentlemen’s accessories for almost 150 years. The company was founded in Eton in 1865 by Miss Elizabeth New & Mr Samuel Lingwood, to provide the scholars of Eton College with their formal and sporting attire. The couple subsequently married and laid the foundations upon which the business continues to pride itself – unsurpassed quality of merchandise and personal service. Under the watchful and approving eye of Beau Brummell, New & Lingwood opened its internationally renowned flagship store in 1922 on Jermyn Street, at the entrance to the Piccadilly Arcade. With 150 years of custom-tailoring to guide us, we have the world’s foremost collection of men’s shirts. A generous selection of the very best in traditional and contemporary fabrics ensures a line second to none.
